The installation program doesn’t control the availability of free disk space during the process of restoring MS SQL 2000 databases from backup files. This issue may occur when the options “MS SQL 2000” and “Both client and server” are chosen simultaneously. In order to detect this error, access the installation log file and search for the string “there is insufficient free space on disk”. If the text is found, try to free some space on the disk (100 MB more should be enough).
